Sugiyama Ski & Snowsports School has that an experienced team of local and internationally qualified
ski and snowboard instructors, ensuring you receive expert lesson and can maximize your
learning potential.
Beginner lessons from qualified instructors will ensure a quick and safe progression
while the intermediate and advanced skiers and boarders will benefit from the more advanced
lessons.

THE CHART IN HIGH SEASON
Private lessons can be booked in units of one hour. You can choose your prefered time starting from 9am to 3pm.
But while following terms you can be booked in this chart. You can choose your preferred time in the chart.

A and C are about 2 hours Lesson.(1hour 55min) A Lesson start from 9am to 10:55. C Lesson start from 2pm to 3:55.
B is about 1 hours Lesson.(55min) B Lesson start from 12pm to 12:55.
D is fullday Lesson. It is good for ski tour. Max 5 hours you take a lesson or guiding.
E and F are halfday Lesson. Max 3 hours you take a lesson.

Kids ski school in Maruike
The kids school is opened every day in Maruike from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 and from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30.
WHERE DO YOU MEET?
At Ski and Snowboard School office. Select either Okushigakogen or Yakebitaiyama PRINCE office (EAST WING or SOUTH WING).
When you desire a private lesson in other areas, please inform us.

Beginner … Can stop, turn a little.
Beginner … Can side slip and J turn.
Level 3 …
Low Intermediate … Can link snowplough turns on blue runs.
Low Intermediate …Can do skidded turns, traverse and ride the chairlift.
Level 4 …
Intermediate ... Can ski parallel on all red runs all the time.
Intermidiate ... Can turn on red runs.
Level 5 …
Advanced or Expert ... Can ski parallel with a pole plant on red and black runs,
make short turns and ski small bumps.
Advanced or Expert ... Can carve on red runs into black runs and safely land
small airs.

PLEASE NOTE:
Number of Private lesson is max 9 persons in each group. From 10 persons you need one more instructor.
We assign instructors to groups on a ratio of approximately 1 instructor to 8 –12 kids.
If your Group has beginner and Intermidiate skiers together, we recommend you 2 private lessons. Each lessons need another Program.
WHICH IS THE BEST LESSON TIME FOR YOU?
• Allow yourself enough time: Sometimes the journey to Shigakogen and collecting rental equipment takes longer than expected so please ensure enough time to allow some delays.
CHANGE IN YOUR PLAN
Please notify us as soon as possible for any changes in your plan.
We will try to adjust accordingly however we may not be able to adjust for any last minute changes.
Please be aware that our instructors are allocated to lessons prior to your arrival.
ANY CHANGES THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO MAKE NEED TO BE COMMUNICATED to Sugiyama
Ski & Snowsports School as soon as possible. Two weeks prior to arrival is preferred.
