It has also hosted winter Olympic Games in 1998.(Alpine Ski GS, SL, Snowboard Freestyle)

SLOPS FOR ALL ABILITIES – Shigakogen offers a great variety of runs, with terrain suitable for　beginners, ranging right up to the expert.
With a network of 74 lifts, and more than 400 hectares of skiable terrain,Shigakogen can accommodate students of all abilities.

SNOWMAKING – The extensive snowmaking system of Shigakogen that cavers almost the entire area allows as deliver lessons throughout Season.

At first we ski to enjoy. Then we try to ski beautifully. Finally we ski powerfully.

The SUGIYAMA SKI & SNOWSPORTS SCHOOL was established in Shiga Kogen Maruike in 1965.
Thereafter, for 44 years, we have beengiveing in 22 areas of Shigakogen.
We always keep in mind safe and kind step by step guidance.　
Not to mention technical improvement, we hope to better your health through snowsports.

WE HAVE MORE THAN 30 SKI AND SNOWBOARD INSTRUCTORS MANY OF WHICH ARE INTERNATIONALLY QUALIFIED.

BOOK EARLY
– The early bird catches the worm. If you book at the last minute we may not be able to confirm your preferred lesson times. Anyway, we are waiting for your lessen all the time!

READ CONFIRMATION DETAILS CAREFULLY
– All the information you need will be confirmed in writing at the time of booking.
These details include lesson times, meeting places,
ticket and rental collection points, lunch bookings, etc.
Please read this information to ensure you are in the right place at the right time.
We recommend taking a copy of this with you when travelling to Shigakogen so the information is always at hand.

CHOOSE YOUR LESSON TIMES
– The Ski & Snowboard School receives many lesson requests for the preferred time of 9am.

ARRIVE ON TIME
– Your lesson time and rental collection time are considered appointments.
If you are late to collect rental it could take longer to process when you arrive.
Our instructors will have another lesson after yours so if you are late the lesson will still finish at the scheduled time.

MEET AT THE RIGHT LOCATION
– Please ensure you go, at the agreed time, to the meeting area booked and confirmed on your confirmation mail.
